| City Officials Execute Warrants to
Inspect 2 Local Properties
Today Jackson City Attorney Lewis Cobb
accompanied Jim Campbell, the head of the city building department, to
serve civil warrants for inspection on the Southside Apartments and the
Payless Motel.
According to Attorney Cobb the need for
the warrants was to give officials authority to perform a detailed
inspection for potential Fire, Building, and Health and Environment
violations. The concern arose from observations by city officials of
exterior conditions and the desire to protect public safety.
