10/22/07 MaxxGuard Press Release On Sunday, October 21st, 2007 the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department contacted Lt. Ben Blackwell with Maxxguard Incorporated. Investigator Curtis advised Lt. Blackwell of the state warrants for Maxxguard’s employee, Micah Horner, who is a certified law enforcement officer, formerly a deputy with Haywood County Sheriff’s Department, and a State of Tennessee licensed armed security officer. Investigator Curtis requested Maxxguard’s assistance on this matter. Lt. Ben Blackwell of Maxxguard disarmed Officer Micah Horner. Horner was then escorted by Crockett County deputies to the Crockett County jail. In addition to this matter, it is Maxxguard’s policy to always assist, when requested, local law enforcement in any matter. It is also protocol for Maxxguard to inform and advise the State of Tennessee of Micah Horner’s pending criminal charges, which has been accomplished.
