| Bill Way's call in show has been an anchor
for News-Talk 101.5 since the station began broadcasting in
September 1993. Bill Way's involvement
in talk formats extends back to AREA CODE 901 that aired originally
on WJAK-AM and then was hosted by TRTV Cable Channel 6 for many
years before emerging at News-Talk 101.5 with IT'S YOUR TURN.
While cable attempted to perpetuate a cable tv call-in show,
without Way the format just did not create the same audience
response.
Bill Way, love him or not, generates
response and holds attention. His work now commands a leading
share of Jackson's adult radio market.
Way's success has made him a parody
target of formats who appeal to teens and young adults. But
when it comes to the 25+ demographic Bill Way
is the man.
