Born October 23 he entered the world causing
great discomfort to his mother. He has been creating worry ever
since with his quick wit and dry humor. "I have a dark and brooding
personality in real life and few have been charitable enough to
stick around and call themselves friends. "To them I am grateful"
After living in many cities across the country,
the blessing of having parents in the music
business, he finally settled back in Nashville, TN
"That has always seemed like home," he described. Never positive of
what he wanted to be when he grew up he pursued many career paths
including, music business, and advertising/publishing, public
relations, radio. In the late 80s, family brought him back to West
Tennessee. He
was with several area radio stations before finding his niche at
WNWS. "These people are as close to family as I have, of course with
my idea of family that is not necessarily a compliment".
"News/Talk radio success lies in the fact that
listeners' perceptions are their realities. Callers can talk out
issues that are on their minds and know that someone is listening.
For some it is their "fifteen minutes of fame. For others News/Talk
radio is like an voracious thirst for voyeurism, legal
eavesdropping." As Mark Twain wrote "Get your facts first, and then
you can distort them as much as you please."
"I see everything as part of a cosmic whole. I
resist being micro-managed by others. I
hate bureaucracy, both in principle and in practice; I will always
make a point of launching one of my crusades against some aspect of
it. Fairness and equality, both in my personal life and in the world
around me, are extremely important to me. No pain is greater than
betrayal. If I fight about anything, it is often about something I
feel is unjust and unreasonable."
"I am for the most part a private person I will
however share this with you. The only constant in my life is my love
for my two children, they
remind me that I do have a purpose on this earth." - Thank you to
all the great News Talk Radio family of listeners. |
