Death of Two Men Ruled as Accident

On March 25 around 6:49 p.m., Jackson Police received a call from a man who had discovered two bodies, in a tent, in a wooded area in the 1700 block of S. Highland Avenue. Officers, investigators, and the Madison County Medical Examiner's Office investigated the scene. The two men were transported to the Jackson Madison County General Hospital for further investigation by the medical examiner. The two men have been identified as James Steven Wadley, age 52 and Tony Clifford Wadley, age 55. They were biological brothers, who lived together, in an apartment in the 100 block of Hollywood Drive. They had apparently been camping in the wooded area where their bodies were discovered. The Medical Examiner, Dr. Tony Emison, concluded that James Wadley had blood alcohol content (BAC) of .38 and Tony Wadley had blood alcohol content (BAC) of .29. Evidence at the scene also suggested that the men had been drinking alcohol. Dr. Emison determined that the cause of death was blood alcohol poisoning and the manner of death was accidental.
