On April 23 the Jackson Police Department was notified by
Jackson Madison County Schools of an allegation involving
inappropriate contact between a teacher's assistant and
student; both at South Side High School.
The investigation by police has determined that Terence
Love of Jackson and a girl, who was 16-years-old, had
sexual intercourse at his residence in the 200 block of Iselin
Street back in the spring of 2008. Love was 24-years-old at
the time. Police do not believe any force, threat, or
coercion was used to accomplish this act.
Love, who is currently 25, was charged with Statutory Rape
by an Authority Figure. He was arraigned this morning in
Jackson City Court. His bond was set at $25,000. His next
scheduled court appearance is Thursday, June 4 at 1:30
p.m. in Jackson City Court.
