UPDATE - Danny Eugene Ward, 47, of Jackson was located in
Haywood County after he called 9-1-1 from a cell phone
around 2:15 p.m. today. He told the dispatcher that he was
lost and needed assistance. He also told the dispatcher that
he had been there for about four or five days. Deputies with
the Haywood County Sheriff's Department found Ward and
his vehicle in a field about 30 yards off of Campground Road
in Haywood County. He was responsive; however, he
appeared to be dehydrated and in need of his insulin. He
was transported to Haywood Park Community Hospital in
Brownsville.
Mr. Ward was reported missing by his family after he was
last seen around 12:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 25 traveling
south in his work truck near the 1600 block of S. Highland
Avenue.
Jackson police do not suspect foul play in Mr. Ward's
disappearance.
The Jackson Police Department is seeking assistance in locating a
missing man- Danny Eugene Ward, 47, of Jackson. He was last
seen around 12:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 25 traveling south in his
work truck near the 1600 block of S. Highland Avenue.
The truck was found abandoned around 10:30 a.m. today at a vacant
house in the 300 block of Parkburg Road by the Madison County
Sheriff's Department. Mr. Ward rents this house; however, he does
not reside there.
Mr. Ward is diabetic and insulin dependent. He apparently does not
have his medication and may be in distress.
He is described as a white male, 6 feet 4 inches tall, and weighs
about 260 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. He was last
seen wearing a blue t-shirt. He may have a bandage on his left hand
from a recent work related injury.
