Chad Lewis MCSDBACKGROUND: Around 3 a.m. Wednesday, Jackson police received a call from the Henderson Police Department that Lewis had brought Sykes to the Medical Center E.M.S. Ambulance Station # 4 on Quinco Drive with a stab wound to the chest.

Henderson officers observed that her hands were handcuffed in front of her. The investigation revealed that Lewis kidnapped Sykes, who is his ex-wife, from her home in the 60 block of Howeston Mill Drive. He handcuffed her, and then drove her to his residence at 378 Old Hickory Blvd where he transferred her to his truck.

From there, he took her to the east Jackson area. While he was driving on N. Parkway East near American Dr., he stabbed her in the chest as she sat in the passenger's seat of his truck. Lewis continued driving and threw the knife out of his truck window in Chester County.

He then took her to the Henderson ambulance station. He was taken into custody by Henderson police. Jackson officers went to Henderson and brought Lewis back to Jackson to face charges.
