Fatal Accident

(Sept 14, 2012) Jackson TN - On Wednesday at 9:02 pm Officers of the Humboldt Police Department were dispatched to US 45 Bypass South between Carriage Lane and Mitchell St about a motor vehicle accident.

There were two vehicles involved in the accident.

The driver of one vehicle Jeremy Ballentine, 40 years of age, of Humboldt was the only individual in that vehicle & he was pronounced dead at Humboldt General ER.

The other vehicle was driven by Lorraine Tims, 22 years of age, of Jackson, Tennessee & occupied by two Juveniles from Jackson, Tennessee. They were treated at Humboldt General Hospital & released.

The investigation of the accident is ongoing.
