
UPDATE: Around 7:30 p.m. Jackson police arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with the robbery of Ridgecrest Cellars.
Upon arrival law enforcement was able to compile a suspect description and develop a potential suspect ID.
In a collaborative effort led by Jackson Police Dept. and assisted by CID, J.P.D. K9 unit and J.P.D. Air Unit along with Madison County Sheriff's Department, and Metro Narcotics a perimeter was quickly established in the wooded are where the suspect was last seen fleeing after the robbery.
A search did result in the apprehension of a suspect who matched the description.

BACKGROUND: At 5:11 p.m. Thursday, Jackson police were called about a robbery at Ridgecrest Cellars, 2880 Ridgecrest Road.
A man entered the business and took money at gunpoint. He was last seen running into the wooded area behind the business on the south side of Ridgecrest Road.
He was described as a white male, early 20s, short brown hair, blue eyes, about 5' 6" and around 180 pounds. He was dressed in camouflage.
