Eldridge Hosts Meeting For Seniors and Care Givers

Jackson, Tenn- State Representative Jimmy Eldridge will host an Open Meeting to discuss issues and topics that effect seniors and their families. The meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. on October 12, 2012, at Southwest Tennessee Development District, 102 E. College Street in Downtown Jackson.

The concerns that affect Tennessee seniors and their families on a daily basis are often times confusing and difficult to understand. In order to try and make these matters easier to understand, Representative Eldridge and additional resource professionals will address such topics as Medicare, TennCare Choices, Nutrition Services and Caregiver Supports.

Specifically, representatives from the Tennessee Commission on Aging and Disability and Southwest Tennessee Development District’s Area Agency on Aging & Disability will be on hand to provide a brief overview of services available in the district, as well as to respond to questions.

Friday’s event begins at 11:30 a.m. and will last about one hour. Media representatives are invited to attend this Open Meeting.

Opening and Closing Remarks will be made by Representative Jimmy Eldridge.
