Shortly before 9:00 p.m. last night, Officers responded to an armed robbery in progress at 535 Lexington Avenue. The first Officers arrived, and heard screaming from inside the residence. They could hear and see people scrambling about inside. As Officers attempted to gain entry at the door, several men ran from the house via doors and windows. Officers caught Antoino Deshun Lancaster as he came out a window on the back of the house. Untario Kidd was arrested a short time later nearby. Both men were identified as having been involved in the robbery.
Victims told Police that five (5) men burst into the home with at least two of them being armed. They tied the victims up with duct tape and demanded money. They were inside the house when they heard the Officer at the door and began scrambling to find a way to escape. Two guns that we believe were abandoned by the suspects were recovered inside.
Both Kidd and Lancaster were arraigned in City Court this morning. Kidd’s bond was set at $100,000 and a hold was placed on him for violating his probation on a previous drug possession charge. Kidd is also on probation in General Sessions Court and additional charges are anticipated. Lancaster’s bond was set at $50,000.
Their next Court date is October 25th.
Police are still seeking three other black males who were dressed in dark or black
clothing.
