Waller Sentenced to 30 years for Kidnapping and Other Charges

On October 29, 2012, 35 year-old Alvin “AJ” Waller, Jr., of 41 Fox Street, Jackson, TN, appeared for sentencing in Madison County Circuit Court, Division II. He was found guilty on September 19, 2012, of Attempted Voluntary Manslaughter; Aggravated Assault; and Especially Aggravated Kidnapping.

He was sentenced to 30 years without parole.

PREVIOUS STORY
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation into an early morning shooting that occurred on a field road located behind Grace Baptist Church, 1646 Hwy. 70 East, Jackson, TN at approximately 2:15 a.m. on August 16, 2011.

The investigation revealed that the victim, identified as 32 year-old Bridgett Michelle Cole, of 227 Lindsey Street, Jackson, TN, and an unidentified black male were parked behind Grace Baptist where they engaged in consensual sex. The unidentified male then produced a handgun and intentionally shot the victim.

The victim received a single gunshot wound to the head. She was transported to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital where she was treated and released.
