Update: Officer Involved Shooting in Jackson

Jackson, TN October 30, 2012

Approximately 1:30 PM Gulf Coast Task Force officers of the US Marshals office were attempting to apprehend a violent felony.

The suspect fled and shots were fired.

The suspect was wounded during the gunfire. His injuries are described as non-lifethreatening.

A US Deputy Marshal was injuried, but his injuries were described as non-shooting related.

US Marshal Jeff Holt could not comment further on the incident except to say no other suspects were being sought related to this incident and the investigation is ongoing.
