A Scant Few Attend Public Forum For School Superintendent Search

Jackson Mad. County School Public Forum

On Monday Night the school board held a public forum to listen to the public's input on the superintendent search.

The crowd was small. About 15- 18 people sparsely filled the board meeting room.  The crowd was made up of about half a dozen Jackson Madison County School employees, A few observers , and six people who came to address the board.

Their message was, hire someone that looks like the demographic of the school population, who understands our students through personal experience, who sees potential in every child, who can work with parents, and who will be supportive of teachers and employees.

Here are comments from five of the six who spoke during the public comment time.

The next meeting will be the School Board work session on Monday Dec. 3rd.  There is a time for public comment about any subject during that meeting.
