Immediately after hearing the command, the subject ran into the entryway and entered apartment A and slammed the door.
The lead group of officers continued upstairs to apartment D which is the home of Randal Forrest where they had to make forcible entry and secured the premises, finding Forrest on the couch. Meanwhile, a second group of officers knocked on the door of apartment A and announced their presence, eventually being allowed entry into the residence, finding it to be occupied by several persons. The officers were granted permission to search the residence and found Byron Ross coming from the area of the bathroom with wet hands and arms. An inspection of the toilet revealed a white powder residue around its rim and removal of the toilet revealed two bags of Marijuana within its lower passageway and two additional bags of Marijuana were found in the floor behind the bedroom door for a total of approximately 1 ounce. Officers then encountered Bobby Hart in the kitchen with a white powder residue around his mouth which he claimed was a “B-C” powder. A field test of the residue showed it to be Cocaine.
