Marshals Announce Capture of Three Fugitive Gang Members

Jackson, TN – U.S. Marshal Jeff Holt announced today the capture Marquette Jackson, Jerry Lynn Clark Jr. and Timothy Rucker.  Holt said all three are confirmed members of the Vice Lords Street Gang and were all wanted for various charges in West Tennessee.

The round up started Tuesday when Marshals located Jackson at 317 Burkett Street in Jackson, TN.  Marshals say Jackson was wanted on a Federal Charge of Being a Convicted Felon in Possession of a Handgun.

On Wednesday, Marshals found Clark at a girlfriend’s house located at 20 Penny Lane in Paris.  Marshals say Clark, a Convicted Sex Offender, had been on the run since early last month after authorities discovered he wasn’t living at his listed address and had violated the Sex Offender Registry Law.

Later that night Marshals captured Rucker at 320 Greenway Street Dyersburg, TN.  Rucker was wanted by the Dyersburg Police Department for Burglary and Escape.

Marshals say when the address was surrounded by law enforcement officers Rucker once again attempted to flee but was apprehended after a brief struggle.  Holt said the apprehension of fugitives who are known gang members, violent felons and sex offenders is a top priority of the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force.  “This is just another example of the tireless work Deputy U.S. Marshals perform every day in tracking down and arresting these violent offenders.  It also highlights the working relationship between the U.S. Marshals and our state and local law enforcement partners.” said Holt
