Suspects Sought on Drug Related Charges

01-29-13, Jackson, TN - Investigators from the Jackson-Madison County Metro Narcotics Unit served a narcotics search warrant at 273 Rhea Street in east Jackson which is the home of Dorothy Pickens, Maurice Dotson and Mario Ford. The search of the residence revealed approximately 1099.9 grams (2 ½ pounds) of Marijuana, 45 MDMA (Ecstasy) pills, a small amount of Crack Cocaine, 2 digital scales and tools used to process Marijuana. The drugs seized have an estimated street value of over $5,000. Items of value believed to have been purchased with the proceeds of drug sales were seized under the civil forfeiture laws of the Tennessee Drug Control Act. Metro Narcotics Investigators are seeking Mario Ford and Maurice Dotson in connection with this case and both potentially face charges of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell or Distribute, Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell or Distribute and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Mario Ford is described as a 32 year old black male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall. Maurice Dotson is described as a 34 year old black male, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing 150 pounds.
