People have discovered that their hometown Wal-Mart has stopped carrying hunting rifles and shotguns.

In a statement from the Wal Mart Corporate: The decision was made based on discussions with the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) regarding an issue where one of our associates failed to follow our strict guidelines for firearm sales, we made the decision to withdraw our firearm license at this specific store in Lexington, Tennessee.” The associate is no longer employed at the store. The company has stated they have no further comment.

While it has been an issue for a few days now local people are still surprised this change I policy will be a small burden for local hunters. As stated earlier, not only is the Wal-Mart in Lexington the only one in the county there are people drive nearly forty miles to find this the closest Wal-Mart.
