Commissioners Pass 2nd Amendment Preservation Resolution

(February 19, 2013), Jackson, TN - At the February monthly meeting of the County Legislative Body, Commissioners passed a resolution called the "2nd Amendment Preservation Resolution"G NeeseGerry Neese

2nd AmendmentThe written purpose of the resolution and the goal of it's supporters is to "prevent federal infringement on the right to keep and bear arms; nullifying all federal acts in violation of the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America"

After the meeting Commissioners Adrian Eddleman and Gerry Neese had these comments;

The resolution goes on to read; "Furthermore, we hereby ask the Sheriffs of the State of Tennessee to act on behalf of the citizens to defend them against infringements upon their rights and to the federal government to the limitations provided under the Constitution"

The resolution states that Commissioners requests the state legislators adopt any and all measures to reject any federal law or act in violation of the Second Amendment as well as clarify the duties of the Sheriffs of Tennessee to defend the citizens against infringement upon their Second Amendment right.
