On or about July 14, 2009, at approximately 2:00 p.m., the Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic violence call at Wildwood Manor Apartments, 1544 Hwy. 70 East.
The investigation revealed that the victim, Katherine Dickerson, of 511 Greenwood Street, Jackson, TN, stated that her ex-boyfriend, Antonio K. Champion, age 30, of 86 Hurtland Drive, Jackson, TN, assaulted her and pushed her out of his moving vehicle onto the parking lot of Wildwood Manor Apartments. Deputies located Antonio K. Champion at 86 Hurtland Drive. After a brief standoff, he was taken into custody without incident.
The victim was transported to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital by Medical Center EMS with non-serious injuries.
Antonio Champion has formally been charged with Aggravated Assault and Evading Arrest. His arraignment has been scheduled for July 16, 2009, at 8:30 a.m. in General Sessions Court, Division I. Bond was set at $20,000.00.
