On Thursday July 30, 2009, at approximately 12:00 p.m., officers with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the residence of Michael A. Presson, 259 Johnston Loop Road, Jackson, TN. The complaint alleged inappropriate sexual activity with a 12-year-old female.
On July 31, 2009, Michael A. Presson, age 65, of 259 Johnston Loop Road, Jackson, TN, was formally charged with two (2) counts of Aggravated Sexual Battery of a Minor. He is presently being held at the J. Alexander Leech Criminal Justice Complex.
The Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) is assisting the sheriff’s office in an unrelated investigation.

Michael A. Presson has been charged with an additional count of Aggravated Sexual Battery of a Minor (3 counts). Bond has been set at $100,000.00 and he has been ordered to have no contact directly or indirectly with the victim. He is scheduled to appear for arraignment on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. in General Sessions Court, Division I before the Honorable Judge Hugh Harvey, Jr.
