The Jackson Madison County School Board met with their attorney and discussed Attorney Richard Fields Motion for Fees. The JMCS Board Attoney was instructed to file a response.
That response concludes by stating "Plaintiffs are entitled to recover reasonable attorney fees for reasonable time spent monitoring the 2000 agreement and other enforceable orders of this Court. In that regard, the Board does not take issue with Mr. Fields’ rate of $275.00/hour but only with the reasonableness of the time spent and how that time was spent. Therefore, the Board requests that this Court use the time entries set out on pages 14-16 of this Response, which total approximately 185.7 hours, as a basis of an award. At Mr. Fields’ rate of $275.00/hour, the fee award would be $51,067.50.
