The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has issued an Endangered Child Alert for two missing sisters from North Carolina. Investigators believe they could be in Tennessee.
Keara Hess, 12, and Sierra Hess, 11, are at the center of the alert. They have been missing since, Sept. 23. According to investigators, Keara is in need of emergency medical attention.
Keara is 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 100 pounds. Her nickname is "Diamond."
Sierra is 5 feet tall and weighs 100 pounds.
Both are believed to be with their adoptive father Matthew Hess, 40. He stands 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds. He has a tattoo of a blue devil on his upper right arm, a tattoo of a heart with a ribbon on his upper left arm and a tattoo of a blue dragon on his left forearm.
North Carolina Department of Social Services has been issued an order authorizing the state to take custody of the girls.
