Jackson Mayor Jerry Gist announced the 7 semi-finalists of all the candidates who applied for the Available Jackson Police Chief position.
The candidates are
RANDALL ARAGON MANAGER – GUARDSMARK -ARKANSAS
GERRY CAMPBELL CAPT. – JPD 26 YEARS
BRENDA DAVIS-JONES DIRECTOR OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY – FORT VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY.
GILL KENDRICK CHIEF – BROWNSVILLE PD 31 YEARS
BARRY MICHAEL CAPT. – JPD 26 YEARS
STEVE OVERTON LT. – JPD 25 YEARS
JERRY TRUELOVE CAPT. – JPD 22 YEARS
These applicants will be scheduled for interviews on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. The final three candidates will be selected by the committee for more intensive interviews the following day, October 14, 2009. Due to scheduling conflicts, Brenda Davis Jones will be interviewed at 1:00 p.m. the following day, October 14th.
