Metro Narcotics Officers received information from a local pharmacy that suspicious individuals had entered the store and purchased pseudoephedrine tablets. The suspects then left the business and went to a neighboring parking lot and gave the purchased pseudoephedrine to other individuals. Both sets of suspects were under surveillance and followed to other retail businesses where the same type transaction occurred. Undercover investigators also observed the suspects purchasing other items associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
As a result of the investigation, the suspects were stopped in south Jackson. A search of the vehicles revealed pseudoephedrine, a methamphetamine precursor, and other chemicals and equipment used in the methamphetamine manufacturing process.
