Sources have confirmed to wnws.com news and 101.5 FM that the three suspects arrested yesterday are not connected to a January 8th homicide in Crockett Co.
Bernard Cooper, Rashonda Bradford, and Tavaris Coicou were all arrested on Saturday during raids on two Ramada Inn motel rooms. Jackson Police Department Tact squad and other officers found marijuana in both rooms.
JPD was called in to help Crockett Co. Sheriffs Department locate a person of interest in connection with the January 8 homicide of Torey Martin age 30. Investigators developed information that the alleged suspect was at the Jackson TN Ramada Inn.
Search warrants were obtain and executed and the three were taken into custody.
Sources have confirmed the three are not connected to the Martin homicide. Crockett Co Sheriffs Department does have a suspect in custody in that case, Travis Hill, 24 is charged with 1st degree Murder of Torey Martin.
Roshonda Bradford has told wnws.com that was was not charged with any crimes and was only taken in for questioning. Earlier on Saturday Jackson Police Department released a press statement saying the three faced drug charges and included booking photos.
