02-25-10 - On Wednesday at approximately 7:45 p.m., deputies from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office made a traffic stop of a violation of a light law on Neely Station Road and Highway 223.
According to investigators the driver of a green Dodge Ram pick-up, identified as 45 year-old Janssen F. Patrick of 8 Neely Station Road, Denmark, TN, fled his vehicle and ran in the woods behind the residence of 28 Neely Station Road. Once Patrick was detained an altercation ensued between Patrick and MCS Deputies. Janssen F. Patrick sustained injuries and was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital where he was treated and admitted. Deputies from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office were treated and released.
Janssen F. Patrick has been charged with Evading Arrest, Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Simple Possession of Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Schedule II with intent, Driving with Suspended Driver’s License and Resisting Arrest.
The investigation is continuing.
