The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the officer and suspect that was fatally wounded at the dead-end of Simmons Road near Pinson, TN.
The officer has been identified as Deputy Kyle E. Singleton,age 26.

Deputy Singleton began his law enforcement career with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office in July 2002. He began his employment with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office in the patrol division in March 2008. He was reassigned to Metro Narcotics in June 2009.
The suspect has been identified as Daniel Glen Dickerson, age 40, of 515 Dorthy Ann Lane, Saltillo, TN.

3-26-08 Fleeing to Elude;
3-26-08 Possession of Legend Drug without prescription
3-26-08 Drug paraphernalia;
7-23-09 DUI
7-23-09 Drugs for resale;
7-23-09 Simple possession of marijuana;
7-23-09 Drug paraphernalia.
Deputy Kyle Singleton has been routinely placed on administrative leave with pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
Chief Kendrick will identify the additional suspects taken into custody during the incident.
