Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Three-Way and Medina Areas
JACKSON, TN./MEDINA, TN – Effective 9:00 AM Tuesday, May 04, 2010 Water service restoration and testing is complete in the JEA Water System North of the Middle Fork of the Forked Deer River and we have confirmed that the water supplied to Three Way and Medina is safe. Based on these tests, we are lifting the Boil Water Advisory effective immediately.
Customers in the Three Way and Medina areas can resume normal water use with no restrictions. Jackson Energy Authority crews will continue to work in the area to flush fire hydrants in the area to purge air from the lines but we anticipate no further interruptions in service.
We know that this has been a difficult last few days for those who live in the communities we serve. We appreciate the patience and understanding of our customers. Thanks to TEMA, community leaders, our neighboring utilities in Humboldt and Gibson County, and our staff who have worked to restore services essential to the quality of life in these communities.
