Man Wanted in Shooting Surrendered to Police this Morning
Daniel Perkins Wanted for Sunday's shooting at Patrician Terrace Apts surrendered to Police this morning at the Madison County Jail.
He will be arraigned tomorrow morning at 8:00 in City Court.
On May 9 around 5:30 p.m., Jackson Police received a call of a shooting at an apartment in Patrician Terrace, 1585 Hollywood Drive.
Investigation determined that a 29-year-old woman was visiting her female cousin. The female cousin became involved in an argument with Daniel Perkins, who was there visiting at the time. Perkins walked out the door and fired a shot at a downward angle. A bullet struck the concrete porch and fragmented. The victim was struck in the neck and face by debris.
The victim was transported to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital where she was treated and released.
Daniel Perkins, 18, of Jackson, is wanted for Felony Reckless Endangerment. He is a black male around 5'6" in height and weighs about 145 pounds.
