Christopher Ivory Williams' has been found guilty in Madison County Circuit Court. Williams was immediately sentenced to life in prison.
Mr Williams, 31, faced charges of first-degree murder and first-degree murder in the perpetration of a felony in the July 3, 2007, murder of his girlfriend, Myshesha Shaw, 28, Both are from Mississippi.
Authorities believed Ms Shaw used a forged letter to help free Williams from a Mississippi jail in June of 2007. Shaw was found dead two days later inside Williams' mother's house on Dairy Street in Jackson, Tenn.
Assistant District Attorney Ben Mayo prosecuted the case. Public Defender George Googe and Assistant Public Defender Paul Meyers represented Williams.
