Traffic Stop becomes a chase and ends with one dead

Details are sketchy but here is what I know

Around 3:00 AM Sunday morning a Humboldt Police Officer initiated a traffic stop around the area of Vine St and 5^th.

There was flight by the vehicle after the stop. A chase ensued

A passenger in the vehicle fled on foot – The victim was killed during the chase apparently by shots fired from the pursuing officer.

The victims name is Roy Glenn JR, 28 y/o married and a father of four. According to family members he had trouble with police in the past but “had cleaned up his life” and was not wanted on any charges.

Humboldt Police have not released the officer’s name or any other information.
