The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation into the burglary and vandalism at Riverside Express located at 1435 Riverside Drive, Jackson, TN, on February 24, 2009, at approximately 2:30 a.m.
The investigation revealed that a red and white Chevrolet pick-up truck rammed the front door of Riverside Express. Two male suspects got out of the truck and attempted to take the ATM machine located inside the building. Suspects were unable to remove the ATM due to it being bolted to the floor. The suspects fled the area before the officers arrived.
During the course of an investigation it was reported that the truck was stolen in Hardeman County. The Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office has detained a person of interest.
