Tenbrink delivered a 3-run homer to right with two outs in the bottom of the second inning that gave Jackson a 3-0 advantage. The home run was Tenbrink's 4th of the season.
Again with two outs in the fourth inning, Brad Miller belted his first Double-A home run to right, a 2-run shot making it 5-0.
Meanwhile, Taijuan Walker (7-5) notched his second-straight quality start, logging 6.0 shutout innings, allowing 2 hits, striking out 8 and walking none.
In the seventh, Michael Sheridan put Montgomery on the board by blasting a 2-run home run against Jackson reliever Moises Hernandez. The blast cut the Generals lead to 5-2.
Jose Jimenez pitched a scoreless eighth inning and Carter Capps pitched a a scoreless ninth after a short 17 minute rain delay. Capps earned his league leading 19th save.
The Generals and Biscuits continue their five-game series on Friday night, with first pitch at 7:05 p.m. LHP James Paxton (4-3, 3.51) pitches for the Generals against RHP Matt Buschmann (4-5, 3.99) for Montgomery. Friday, kids eat free with purchase of a regularly priced ticket. Also, the Half Pint Brawlers Midget Wresters will put on a show after the game.
