Jackson put single tallies on the scoreboard in each of the first three innings, jumping out to a 3-0 lead. In the first Chih-Hsien Chiang hit a sacrifice fly to center scoring Brad Miller. In the second inning, Denny Almonte brought in Johermyn Chavez with an RBI single and Nate Tenbrink hit a solo homer in the third.
The Jacksonville Suns had their biggest inning of the season in the top of the fourth inning by sending 14 batters to the plate and scoring nine runs. Kyle Jensen hit a homer and drove in four runs in the inning and Jake Jeffries had a two-run blast.
The Generals began to mount a comeback in the bottom of the fourth inning getting his 25th homer of the season making it 9-4.
The Suns and Generals traded homers in the seventh inning as Kyle Skipworth homered in the top of the inning and Brad Miller homered in the bottom of the inning. Jacksonville led 10-5.
The Generals trimmed the lead to 10-8 in the eighth with three-run homer from Denny Almonte. It was Almonte's 12th of the season.
Jackson did cut the lead to 10-9 in the ninth on an RBI single from Chih-Hsien Chiang.
Nate Tenbrink, Brad Miller, Johermyn Chavez and Denny Almonte all collected two hits as Jackson out-hit the Suns 12-9.
Generals' starter Taijuan Walker (7-10) suffered the loss giving up 8 runs, 7 earned on 5 hits in 3.1. Walker struck out 7 and walked 1. Suns starter Bryan Evans (7-8) was credited with the win.
Game five of the series and the final game of the regular season is scheduled for Monday at 2:05 p.m. LHP Steve Garrison (5-4, 4.76) will make the start for the Generals against RHP Bryan Flynn (2-0, 3.92) for the Suns.
