NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP): Titans Giving Up Big Plays; Vols Teague Loses Spot

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Tennessee Titans keep this up much longer, they're going to get a reputation as a big-play defense — the kind offenses love to attack. The Titans already have given up 32 big plays of 10 yards or more in their winless start to this season. Up next for the Titans is Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Chris Johnson doesn't believe he is solely to blame for the Tennessee Titans' rushing woes. The running back said Thursday the fault lies with the offense as a whole. Johnson heads into Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions with 21 yards on 19 carries.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee's pass rushers believe they're doing a decent job of harassing quarterbacks this season, but they're often frustrating themselves in the process. The Volunteers have produced just four sacks, which puts them in a three-way tie for last place in the Southeastern Conference.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee sophomore cornerback Justin Coleman will make his first start of the season Saturday against Akron after moving ahead of senior Marsalis Teague on the depth chart.Teague started each of the Vols' first three games this year and made eight starts each in 2010 and 2011.
