DRESDEN, Tenn. (AP) — The men's basketball coach at a West Tennessee university has been arrested on a DUI charge.
WBBJ-TV in Jackson (http://bit.ly/PmAtt0 ) reported the arrest of Bethel University coach Jeff Britt on Saturday night.
Weakley County Sheriff's deputies said they found an open container in Britt's car after they stopped the vehicle for swerving. They charged Britt with DUI, having an open container, and failing to drive within a lane. He was booked and release on $1,500 bond.
Bethel, in McKenzie, has about 4,700 students. It is affiliated with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
