NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have decided to keep safety Markelle Martin on the physically-unable-to-perform list for the rest of the season after the rookie practiced with the team the past three weeks. The Titans also waived defensive end Pannel Egboh on Tuesday.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Mike Conley says the Grizzlies' new owner doesn't look much older than he is. The Memphis guard is right. Robert J. Pera, the Grizzlies' new chairman and majority owner, is only nine years older than his point guard. The 34-year-old California businessman is a fresh face from a much different generation than the Grizzlies' previous owner — 75-year-old billionaire Michael Heisley.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Metro Nashville Police are holding a Decatur, Ga., man in jail after arresting him with phony Tennessee Titans tickets and $100 bills that appear counterfeit. An undercover officer approached 46-year-old Tony McKibben on Sunday in downtown Nashville before the Titans-Bears football game. Police said when McKibben realized he was talking to an officer, he tried to run, but was quickly apprehended.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Brian Vickers will race for the Nationwide Series championship next season for Joe Gibbs Racing. He returns to the series 10 years after he became the youngest champion in series history by winning the title at 20 for Hendrick Motorsports.
