MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - The Memphis Tigers have released their
non-conference schedule, and it features the likes of Georgetown,
Gonzaga, Kansas and cross-state rival Tennessee.
In the schedule released Friday, the Tigers play 11 home games
and open the season Nov. 12 against Centenary. Then the challenge
picks up with a game against Kansas in New York on Dec. 7 in the
third game between these programs in four years. They also play LSU
in Tupelo, Miss., on Nov. 21.
Coach Josh Pastner calls it a challenging schedule for a very
young team.
Memphis hosts Miami on Nov. 15, and Georgetown visits Dec. 23.
The Tigers visit Tennessee on Jan. 5 and Gonzaga on Feb. 5.
