Haynesworth's half brother killed in crash

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Nashville police say a half brother of former Tennessee Titans player Albert Haynesworth was killed in a motorcycle crash. According to police, 23-year-old Lance McCoy of Madison was riding his motorcycle "at a very high rate of speed" Thursday night when he collided with a car pulling out of a parking lot. McCoy was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died. The driver of the car, 27-year-old Benjamin Smith of Nashville, told police he didn't see the motorcycle until impact. Police say a preliminary investigation shows McCoy's excessive speed to be the main cause of the accident. Haynesworth, a defensive tackle with the Washington Redskins, also has another brother. His agent, Chad Speck, told The Associated Press on Friday that Haynesworth had no comment on the death. (Copyright 2010 by The Associated Press.  All Rights Reserved.) AP-NY-10-08-10 1123EDT
