KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Alabama coach Nick Saban expects the
Crimson Tide to do more than just win. Lately, they've let him
down.
The coach of the seventh-ranked Tide thinks his players have
lost their edge and have stopped playing with toughness, instead
getting too satisfied with just winning.
Dissatisfied with a loss to South Carolina and a lack of
domination in a win over Mississippi, Saban is looking for a
sharper performance by Alabama (6-1, 3-1) against a faltering
Tennessee team on Saturday.
Not so fast, say the Volunteers (2-4, 0-3), who have been
watching as other underdogs have upset their Southeastern
Conference foes. They're confident in the way they've prepared for
the Tide after a blowout loss to Georgia and a bye weekend.
