NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Tennessee Titans are 5-2 and are now
ranked second in the NFL in scoring, averaging 28.4 points per
game. The Titans have been scoring despite quarterback Vince Young
missed most of two games with a sprained left knee and ankle.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee coach Derek Dooley has
compared his young, inexperienced team's struggles to the German
forces during the Allies' invasion of Normandy during World War II.
Dooley on Monday offered a 2-minute-long description of the
confusion caused by the invasion and the Germans' slow reaction.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee coach Derek Dooley says he
doesn't want his players to worry or mope about their 2-5 record
because it won't help them win their next game. The Vols are
preparing to face No. 17 South Carolina, their fifth Top 25
opponent of the season.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Vanderbilt coach Robbie Caldwell has
promoted Des Kitchings to offensive coordinator and moved former
coordinator Jimmy Kiser to handling the quarterbacks. Caldwell
promised changes after a 21-7 loss to then-No. 19 South Carolina on
Saturday night.
