WNWS News/Talk 101.5FM would like to thank all of the participants this years Ninth Annual Fat Tuesday Downtown Mardi Gras Parade. We view this as another safe and successful community event.

We are proud to announce the winners of WNWS Fat Tuesday Downtown Mardi Gras King (Mr. Downtown) and Queen (Ms. Downtown), Parade and Storefront Competition winners.

The 2008 Mardi Gras King – Mr. Jerry Corley (Mr. Downtown)
The 2008 Mardi Gras Queen – Ms. Kim Collins (Ms. Downtown)

2008 Fat Tuesday Downtown Mardi Gras Parade Winners:

1. Best Overall Entry – Krude Krewe
2. Most Outlandish – Krude Krewe
3. Best Mardi Gras Theme – Lucky’s
4. Best Creative (Motorized – Parkview Montessori
5. Best Creative (Non-Motorized) – Chester County High School Jazz Band
6. Best School Entry – St. Mary’s Catholic School

2008 Fat Tuesday Downtown Mardi Gras Storefront Competition:

1. First Place – Yesterday’s Antiques, 212 North Liberty
2. Second Place – Downtown Tavern, 208 North Liberty
3. Third Place – Starbucks, 114 East Baltimore
