18-year-old JCM Student In Court

Julius Worthington was in Jackson City Court today for a preliminary hearing on a charge of simple assault. His case was bound over to the grand jury

In court were the plaintiff Anthony Nordman and his mother Christina.

After the hearing I spoke with the Madison student about the attack.

Some other points about the case

Julius Worthington’s ca se was referred to the Disciplinary Hearing Board for recommendation by the Principal to transfer him to West Jackson Learning Center (Alternative School). That recommendation was approved.

The bus driver Morton Maurice Hayes has been charged with failure to report an assault. Mr. Hayes was a substitute bus driver. He has been removed from the sub list pending investigation and the outcome of the criminal charge.
